Review: G-Spot Lollipop

So the G-Spot Lollipop is a neat new line of toys featuring acrylic/steel dildos that are reminiscent of lollipops. They’re designed for vaginal stimulation that targets the G-Spot, but could also be great for anal in stimulating the prostate because the ball at the opposite end will prevent it from being lost up your ass. The one I received is the Double Pop. It looks something like a body piercing barbell or a baton, with two acrylic balls on either end of differing sizes, connected by a surgical steel bar that’s about 1/4″ in diameter. The other two designs that G-Spot Lollipop offers are J-Pops and Travel Pops.G Spot Lollipop

I received the G-Spot Lollipop Double Pop in Passion Pink. They’re also available in Wild Apple, Organe Crem’e, and Passion Purple. The size I got was small (d’oh, wrong choice!) and the smaller head is 1.5″ in diameter, while the larger head is 1.75″ in diameter. It’s 10 1/4″ long from tip to tip. The Double Pops are also available in medium (1.75″ & 2″) and large (2″ & 2.5″). The acrylic balls are obviously very rigid and smooth, with no seams and texture. The pink has a marbleized iridescence to it that’s very pretty under light. The stainless steel isn’t very shiny at all. Reminds me more of aluminum or brushed metal, but it’s definitely very smooth with no texture.

Care is simple. Toy cleaner or soap and water work best. If you share this toy with a partner and have to disinfect it properly, cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol and letting the alcohol air dry will disinfect it thoroughly.

Being acrylic and steel, it’s compatible with any kind of lubricant you prefer. I just smeared on some Sliquid H2O and that seemed to give enough lubricant to help me slide in both the large and small balls.

Acrylic and surgical steel are both non-porous, phthalates free, and latex free. They’re body safe and hypoallergenic as well.

Packaging was very minimal. My Double Pop came with the largest ball wrapped in clear plastic shrink wrap, like a lollipop, and had the company’s card tied around it. On the card, it gives some directions on use, mentions washing it in soap and water, and says it should never be exposed to severe heat or cold. It also mentions a 1 year manufacturer warranty.

One thing I keep hearing about with this toy is that it’s hard to remove post-orgasm. This isn’t a bad thing! Your vagina is just in epic kegel mode and is gripping that thing like a cheeseburger. From what I’ve read, a slight clockwise twist will help you remove it. I personally haven’t experienced this yet because I haven’t been able to get off with it.

I wasn’t blown away by this one, but I admit it was probably from me not choosing the correct size. It left me wanting more, and I eventually tossed it aside and finished off with a different dildo. But that’s not to say all hopes are lost with it. I had an intense orgasm with that other dildo, so I’m thinking this size of the G-Spot Lollipop is perfect for warmup for me. What I also like is its potential as a kegel exerciser. Holding onto the ball and slowly pulling it out with my hand makes for a serious kegel workout. My girlfriend has walked in on me having a serious tug-of-war battle with my own vagina, and I can say the look on her face was priceless. Would I recommend it? Only if you have enough experience and knowledge of what you need when it comes to rigid toys and how they relate to size. I thought I knew a small would be perfect for me and it sadly just didn’t work out.

Also worth mentioning, G-Spot Lollipop is participating in a campaign in October for Breast Cancer Awareness month. All pink G-Spot Lollipops are on sale. Here’s the scoop:

Review: Ako by Picobong

Picobong is a sister company of Lelo, the luxury adult toy company that is known for rumbly vibrators that are made of buttery-smooth silicone. Picobong is the line of affordable, battery operated sex toys that are more economical but, from what I hear, most are just as good as Lelo. I was stoked to try the Ako from, but a little worried I wouldn’t like it considering the reviews I’ve seen of other Picobong toys not being so good. I’ll state it early that the Ako is amazing. It’s stronger than my Mia 2, and I’m seriously shitting daisies over how amazing this little affordable vibrator is. Thanks you so much to Tabutoys for letting me give it a go!

Picobong AkoDesign:

It’s an ergonomic vibrator that fits comfortably in my hand, and offers a lot of direct pinpoint stimulation to the clitoris because of the sharp edge of the tip. It seems to be made for right handed folks; sadly, what isn’t? When I’m holding it my thumb naturally falls onto the buttons on the side, making it easy to change the speed or settings. The base is ABS Plastic, and has graduated edges that I imagine wouldn’t be very comfortable if you tried inserting it. It’s called an outie vibrator for a reason, so stick with external stimulation only.

Picobong Ako

Since the Ako is made of the same buttery smooth silicone as Lelo toys, it’s safe to usewith water based and hybrid lubes. Some people say that pure silicone lubes are now found to be safe to use with silicone toys if both are high quality products, but I’d err on the safe side and stick with water based. With a hybrid lube, I prefer to do a spot test first by putting a little lube on a portion of the silicone toy that isn’t used often. If it discolors after you wipe off the lube, it means they aren’t compatible. It also hardly picks up any lint at all, but of course it’s covered in lint in the pictures I took for this review. My luck…

Since it’s waterproof, clean up is simple. Soap and water, toy cleaner, or a 10% bleach to water solution would do. I prefer soap and water, but if you are sharing with partners it’s best to over clean than under clean. Boiling vibrators to sanitize is a serious “no”. It’ll ruin the inner workings of your toy and render it useless.

I personally don’t keep the Picobong charm on my vibrator. We’ve all heard of anal bead cords holding onto bacteria and being porous. Same goes for any cord, in my book. Besides, the charm looks much cuter on my backpack for school.

Picobong Ako Batteries

It’s powered by two AAA batteries. The battery cap pops off when you give it a slight counter clockwise turn, and there are little indicatorsshowing which way to put the batteries in along the inner white band. The cap locks back into place easily and is waterproof. Pressing the + button for two seconds turns it on, and you can hold the + button until you reach the strength you want. At any strength you can press the M button and it’ll enter into the different modes. Cycling through all ten will bring you back to the regular constant vibrations mode, unlike the Mona 2 which lets you cycle backwards through the modes. With this one you can only go forward. Fine by me, no biggie.

There are 12 different settings, and around 10 different speeds that you can set to work with those settings. At its highest, it’s stronger than my Mia 2 by Lelo, but a little weaker than the Lelo Mona 2. I’m quite impressed with it. It’s much cheaper than the Mia 2, and got me off much easier.

Also worth mentioning is the travel lock option. I didn’t see anything about it in the instructions or online, but you can lock it by pressing and holding the + and – buttons for x amount of seconds (somewhere between 3 and 5 seconds). To unlock, you just press and hold them again. So neat! It’s not like that buttons are super easy to push, but I like the added security of knowing it won’t start vibrating when I have it tucked away in a duffle bag.

Personal Experience:

I love it. It’s rumbly, strong, and has so many different modes to choose from. I love the tip of it. It’s long, but thin, so I can turn it on its side to get more broad stimulation, or focus the edge on my clit to get pinpoint stimulation. Even if I do decide to use the straight edge for direct stimulation, it’s not an overwhelming pinpoint stimulation like the Salsa can be.

Picobong Ako

Comparing it to the Salsa, I think I may actually like the Ako more. If I haven’t used my Salsa in weeks. Sometimes it’s way too much, almost to the point of numbing me. I think the Ako is a more partner-friendly vibrator. If she rubs a little too hard or runs the tiny little Salsa tip up against a very sensitive part of my clitoris, I end up in pain, not pleasure. With the Ako, it’s more surface area for her to work with, but it also has a nicely edged tip to help me cum easier; or at least as easy as it will be for me – we all know my orgasm troubles! The tip also makes it easy for me to find my partners clit. I easily slip this between her labia and don’t have to worry about using another finger to help me find her clitoris.

One concern I have is hand numbness. I haven’t experienced it yet, but I do think it could potentially cause some hand numbing because the vibrations run along the entire length of the toy.

Overall Rating: 5/5

Strength: 4/5

Volume: 2.5/5

It’s a little loud, but not loud enough to be heard from behind a closed door. It’s definitely strong. And it’s worth the money. Considering it runs on two AAA batteries and is affordable, I think this is a fantastic vibrator to own for both speed queens AND those who are new to toys.

Review: VIP dildo by Tantus

The Tantus VIP dildo is sadly on closeout sale right now as it’s being discontinued (or at least that’s what I think closeouts are for. I haven’t personally talked to Tantus so I can’t speak for sure). I had to snatch one up because, like most Tantus dildos, it was on my wishlist for quite awhile. The VIP is a medium to medium/large phallic silicone dildo that also has testicles protruding from the base. I know, not something you’d expect a lesbian couple to want to own. But I needed to have it! In my head, the extra surface area from the longer and wider base would mean me or my partner (whoever is wearing it in a harness) could potentially get more clitoral stimulation while thrusting. I also thought that the larger base would make it easier for me to control while masturbating, and I loved the look of that curved shaft.

The VIP has an insertable length of 6 3/4″. The diameter of the head is 1 5/8″, and at the base of the shaft before the balls it’s 1 1/2″. The base of the dildo is 4 5/8″ long, and 2 3/8″ across, giving it a substantial amount of surface area to allow for clitoral stimulation for the wearer. The shaft has a prominent curve, great for G spot and prostate stimulation. The VIP has a sculpted head, simulating the glans penis. The prominent corona of the glans really is my favorite part of this dildo. I know I go on and on about how much I love texture, but this under-textured dildo still satisfies me due to its curve and slightly bulging, kinda stiff textured head. I love it!

As always, Tantus silicone is hypo-allergenic, phthalates free, non-porous, easily sanitized, and latex free. Cleaning this silicone is easy; soap and water, 10% bleach to water solution, top rack of the dishwasher (without detergent) on the sanitizing cycle, or boiling it for 10 minutes will work.

The VIP is a very sturdy, non-plushy dildo, so be careful when thrusting hard. The finish on the VIP is unlike the other Tantus dildos I’ve tried. It’s more of a matte velvet finish that substantially cut on the usual drag and lint magnetism other Tantus dildos have. The base of the dildo is the usual shiny Tantus silicone, and comparing how the two different finishes pick up on lint when I place the VIP on my bed shows that the velvet finish hardly picks up any at all. This is a huge deal for me since most of my dildo fucking happens with my partner, and we don’t always like to be careful. The VIP isn’t very bendy or giving. It somewhat easily bends upwards in the same direction of its already-present curve, but only bends downwards enough to completely straighten out the shaft. It won’t bend anymore beyond that.

underside  The VIP comes in black, pink pearl, and purple haze. I purchased the purple haze because purples and violets are my favorite colors. The purple has the same gorgeous, glittery iridescence as my Tantus Purr, but the matte finish makes it look even better.

Now for my experience with it; I love it. For solo play I usually enjoy most silicone dildos I try, but with harness play with my girlfriend I’m very picky. I never thought I’d find a dildo that I enjoy [maybe] as much as my Tantus Echo. The Echo feels amazing strapped to her. I can have a gushing G spot orgasm easily. But the VIP is slowly taking over as queen supreme of what my pussy needs. Oh, and get this, I actually enjoy the balls! What?! Not for fantasy purposes, but they are actually useful! When I’m masturbating and get sick of thrusting the dildo, but don’t want to take it out and throw it to the side, I usually prop the balls under my ass and go for clit stimulation with my Salsa. The balls help me keep the dildo inserted and also give me some stability to rock on the cock hands-free. That’s a feat in my book, but I’m a lazy masturbator and hate having to use both hands.

My GF’s thoughts; the balls make it easier for her to control when she’s wearing it or thrusting it with her hands, both because the dildo then doesn’t pull away as much in our Rodeoh, and also because it helps her feel whether or not the dildo is slipping out of me. She said it’s very easy to thrust hard and fast by gripping the base and balls between her thighs, and I can attest to this. Normally the Rodeoh would stretch just a tad as she pulled out, so thrusts wouldn’t be as hard because of it. She also said the clitoral stimulation was decent. Our Rodeoh makes dildos sit rather high on her pubic bone, which is great if we wanna use a bullet vibrator in the Rodeoh’s pocket so she can get some clitoral stimulation, but it sucks if we’re skipping a vibrator. The balls of the VIP fit nicely in the Rodeoh and got her off easily. One complaint she does have is that it’s heavy, but what can ya do?

Overall Rating: 5/5

We love it. It’s exactly what I expected when I had my eye on it for almost a year. No regrets and nothing more to add.

The VIP Super Soft is on sale now at The Super Soft is the same design as the VIP, but is made of Tantus’s cushier silicone.

Review: Salsa by We Vibe

The most raved about bullet vibe (this one, duh) is a HUGE hit in my bedroom. The Salsa from We Vibe is a strong bullet vibrator that works great for clitoral stimulation and fits perfectly in my favorite Tantus dildos. It’s completely waterproof and rechargeable, and it really is as strong as is claimed. It’s even a bit much for me.

The vibe is made of ABS plastic with a silicone push button on the base. It’s hard, heavy, and completely smooth, save for the We Vibe emblem that’s engraved near the base. I noticed that the emblem helps me get a better grip on it when it’s lubed up and slippery. There’s also a very slight flare on the end that makes gripping it and taking it out of dildos easier. The flare doesn’t make it safe for anal use, so please don’t try inserting this one.

ABS plastic is non-porous, hypo-allergenic, easy to clean and disinfect, and smooth as all hell. There’s no funky odor to either the plastic or silicone push-button. The smooth and shiny plastic is prone to scratches, so the satin storage pouch comes in handy. Cleaning is simple; toy cleaner and a wash cloth, soap and water, or toy wipes work great. Since it’s not porous, you can share it between partners if you clean it properly before sharing.

The heft to this vibrator can make the strong vibrations kind of intimidating. If I go a week or two without using it, I feel like my clit is being assaulted by a tiny jackhammer. If it were a lighter vibrator, I think the vibrations would be a little less intense and easier to handle for some. I’m a bit of a power queen, but sometimes it can be overwhelming.
There’s 8 settings all together. 4 of them are constant vibrations at various levels, and the other 4 are different patterns. To turn it on you just hit the button, and to turn it off you can either cycle through all 8 settings by continuously pushing the button, or press and hold for 3 seconds to turn the toy off. If you turn it off by pressing and holding the button it’ll remember what setting you were on and resume from there when you turn it on again. There’s no travel locking option.Strength:
This thing is intense. I’d say it’s about 5 out of 5 on the intensity scale, and a very low 2 out of 5 in terms of noise. Lots of strength for the volume. I’ve seen a few writers comparing the Salsa and Mia 2 in reviews, but I just don’t think they’re comparable. The Mia 2 is lightweight and weak, and the Salsa is strong and heavy. I think I’d like to eventually find an equal medium between the two. Something with decent weight and strength, but not too overpowering.I enjoy it for solo play and quick orgasms. When we try to use it during sex, it’s a bit too much. My partner can easily go too rough on my clit with it, and she’s definitely not used to such strong vibrations when I use it on her. We’re thinking it’ll be fun to use in a harness that holds a vibrator in place for clitoral stimulation for the wearer, but of course we’ll likely keep it on the lowest or second to lowest setting.

It comes with a neat box, a white satin storage pouch that holds the charger, the vibe, and could also accommodate a small bottle of lube. The charger is a little strange. It comes in two parts, with a magnetic head that connects to the vibe and then you plug it into the charge cord. I get a full charge in 1.5 hours. A full charge will only get me about 40 minutes of play time if I use it on the highest setting, which kind of bums me out. There’s no warning that it’s about to die either. The intensity doesn’t deaden as it discharges, and it’ll die with a sudden shut off. I dunno how many times I’ve been close to orgasm and it just died on me. Whomp whomp.

It’s a great vibe all around. I’m pleased with my purchase. I would only change the weight of it as it makes the vibrations even more intense. The battery life sucks, but I’ve just learned to keep the charger on hand, and I charge it every four uses or so. I’ll likely be purchasing a We Vibe Tango soon, just in case my Salsa dies on me. The Salsa was discontinued, but the Tango has the same strong motor and vibrations. The only difference between the two are the head shapes, with the Salsa ending at a point, and the Tango ending with a flat slant.
Sadly, the Salsa has been discontinued. But you can pick up the We-Vibe Tango! Same strong motor, but with a different design.

Review: Black Magic Super Bullet by Doc Johnson

Credit: Doc Johnson

I’m a lover of rumbly vibrators. My clit needs more than just the usual buzzy bullet. I need power. Even the Mia 2 didn’t do it for me. I’ve had my eye on the Black Magic line from Doc Johnson for awhile now, and I was looking for something big and strong to use with my partner so that in the darkness of our room she won’t miss my clit. I also wanted to experiment with placing a vibrator between us while doing tribadism, and my small, slippery, dancing Salsa just wasn’t working.

The Black Magic Super Bullet seemed like the best option. It’s big and velvety which I figured would help keep it in place between our labias. It’s also pretty somewhat powerful.
Credit: Wikipedia

I’ve been experimenting lately with stimulating the entire length of my clitoris glands. Truth be told, the clitoris isn’t just that tiny little nub that protudes from the top of the labia. There are glands that extend deep beneath the labia, and wrap around the vagina. While reading Secretly Sensuous’s  Fairy Wand review, and I found that long, slow massages helped stimulate the entirety of my clit. Graduating from this, I figured what better way to stimulate the entire thing than with a big ass rumbly vibrator?

The Black Magic Super Bullet reminds me of a giant pill. It’s a perfect cylinder with no bumps or raised texture, and each end is rounded. It’s 6″ long, 5″ insertable. 5″ in circumference. There’s a push button with a power symbol on battery cap end The battery cap has an o-ring, making it waterproof. There are also two raised lines on both the cap and the vibrator. When you match up the lines, you  know it’s sealed properly and water won’t seep through. It also comes with a very thin plastic strap that’s connected to the battery cap. I don’t know what the hell the strap is for. I ended up removing it because it’s such a thin strap that it cut into my wrist a bit. But at least the strap is plastic and not cotton; non-porous. Woohoo!

Credit: Doc Johnson

Only three levels of constant vibrations, that’s it. It takes three AA batteries, and to turn it on you just hit the power button. The first setting is the lowest, and it goes up two more levels from there. To turn it off you have to cycle through all three settings, which is kind of a bummer is discretion is your thing. It’s also the loudest vibrator I own, about 3 out of 5 in terms of volume. The vibrations aren’t as rumbly and strong as my Mona 2,  but I wasn’t expecting it to be a jackhammer.

So how did it work for stimulating my entire clitoris? It served its purpose. It’s not a quick orgasm, but slowly working my way up to the highest setting is lovely. This isn’t a quick get-off at all, and it takes time to get used to not having direct stimulation on just the clitoris head (at least for me). I like the Black Magic Super Bullet’s slower vibrations. Even on the highest setting, it’s a slow, strong rumble, and my labia and clitoris seem to enjoy it a lot. I admit that I did get frustrated a few times when orgasm just wasn’t happening, but in my mind this technique is more of a practice or exercise than a surefire orgasm.

As for tribadism, we haven’t tried to use it. The idea was poorly planned on my part.

I’d love it more if it were stronger. I do think it’s a good purchase for the price, but it shouldn’t be the main go-to vibe as I’d imagine it would leave a lot of people frustrated.

Review: Icicles No. 18 by Pipedream

I know I’ve said it before, but I’m a total glass dildo addict, and I absolutely love texture. From the moment I tried my first glass dildo, the Pink Double G, I wish it had more pronounced texture and a bit more girth. When I saw a closeup pic of the texture on the Icicles No. 18, I had to have it. The texture combined with the big bulbous head and severe curve of the dildo has really rocked my world and hasn’t disappointed me yet.

(Yeah, I used a Grizzly Bear’s album as my background. Whateva.)

This glass dildo is made of borosilicate glass, or Pyrex, making it shatter proof. Even though it’s shatter proof, it isn’t completely unbreakable, but if it does experience a fall it won’t break into a million pieces. Instead it’ll just break into large chunks, preventing injury from tiny shards of glass. Borosilicate glass is also great for temperature play since it’s resistant to breaking during extreme changes in temperature. You can pop it in a bowl of warm or cold water, or even put it in the fridge if you like. Note that freezing glass dildos isn’t recommended because it can cause injury to the vagina or anus.

My No. 18 is 8 1/2″ long, and 4 3/4″ in circumference at the widest point of each head, and 3 3/4″ in circumference at the thinnest point in the middle of the shaft. Since glass dildos are handmade, measurements vary. The curve is almost a 45° angle and is closest to the head of the dildo, making it great for G spot or prostate stimulation. You can insert either end, and the two bulbs of the handle gives a slight popping sensation. It is also anal safe. The generous curve prevents the dildo from getting sucked up into the anus, but some would prefer to avoid using it for anal due to its lack of a flared base. I haven’t tried it for anal yet as my ass can’t accommodate such a huge dildo. This dildo is absolutely gorgeous. The blue of the raised bumps is a kind of royal blue with some purple undertones. The red flower in the handle is flawless. I’m impressed with it.

My G spot LOVES this dildo. When I first insert it there’s a very strong popping sensation as my labia stretches to accommodate the large head, followed by a large amount of fullness that feels absolutely amazing. Normally I just rock the head in and out, but if I want to feel that texture and push it in deeper it feels absolutely amazing. I love slow thrusts with this one, and I surprised myself when I slowly took it out and found that I was squirting uncontrollably. The pointed tip of the head isn’t terribly pokey, but I don’t like to direct the top toward my G spot anyway. I loath pin-point pressure on my G spot. My preference is more toward a large surface area of pressure against my G spot, so I rub the sides of the head against mine.
I don’t really recommend this for couple play. We’ve used it together before, but the size can easily make it too much for me to handle if my girlfriend gets carried away and thrusts too hard or too deep. She once hit my pubic bone with it and it hurt like hell, which is a common concern with all glass toys. Be careful!
Pipedream’s Icicles packaging is nice. It comes in a cardboard box that’s recyclable, and the dildo lays in a styrofoam tray (which isn’t recyclable). There’s a front cover to the box that’s held closed with a magnet, and opening the flap shows the dildo through a clear plastic window. This dildo doesn’t come with a protective pouch. Since it’s such a big, heavy dildo, I keep it in the original packaging so it won’t put pressure on my other glass dildos during storage.
Overall Rating: 5/5
It’s the best, no questions asked. I adore it for its pronounced texture, and it’s very pretty to look at. I haven’t yet convinced my girlfriend to let me get a pretty glass curio cabinet to showcase all of my beautiful glass dildos, but if I could get her to let me do it, this one would be the main act with spotlights and streamers.
The Icicles No. 18 is currently $59 CAD ($55.59 US) at

Review: Spunk Lube

Okay, okay. At first I was a little skeptical of trying a lube called “Spunk”. I’m a lesbian, afterall. I gave that shit up for lent many moons ago. I figured I’d be mortified by the consistency because it would remind me of male cum. But when Jeff hit me up with an offer to try their lubes, I figured I’d give it a shot. You can never have enough lube, and I’ve never had the pleasure of trying out a water and silicone hybrid, so why not?

I originally requested the Spunk Hybrid lube. It is a water and silicone based lube, making it a “hybrid”. I was gleeful when my package came and I saw they sent me all three! Yay! Now I get to try their entire line of lubes and compare them all.

Depending on your needs, Spunk lube has it covered. The Spunk Hybrid is safe to use with all of your toys (silicone or otherwise) and it truly lasts a long time. It’s also safe during oral sex, so no worry of having to wash it off when going from one routine to the next. Spunk Pink offers the same silicone toy compatibility without the glycerin, so if you have a glycerin sensitivity, it’ll work great for you. The Spunk Pure silicone is fantastic for anal, and works great with glass dildos. It comes with only 4 ingredients, and is free of glycerin and parabens.

Spunk Pure Silicone:
This is a silicone based lube, making it unsuitable to be used with silicone toys. My girlfriend and I don’t always use silicone toys that often so having a silicone lube on hand is awesome. It works great with glass toys and doesn’t dry out or leave an oily residue after use. This one doesn’t resemble cum at all. It’s a clear lube consisting of four silicone oils and that’s it.

Ingredients: Dimethicone, Dimethiconol, Cylopentasiloxane, Cyclohexasiloxane.

Spunk Hybrid:
This is the main cum lube and it really does look more like cum compared to the rest. I received the 8 oz. bottle which has a pushdown nozzle kind of like a lotion bottle, making it easy to grab a handful when we’re in the midst of sex. It’s also orally safe and doesn’t have a funky taste.

My first impression; it really does look like cum. Not just male cum, but also my own. It’s a thick consistency and kind of reminds me of a gel lube, but not like Aloe Vera gel, more like a hair conditioner. It’s not sticky at all. I’ve been playing with a wad of it in my hand while I write this review. I took a dime sized amount in one hand and played with it for a bit to see how it would dry up. It eventually absorbed into my hand and didn’t leave behind any weird, sticky or oily residue. There’s no smell, but a very faint taste is present, but it’s not unpleasant.

Ingredients: Water, Dimethicone, Dimethiconol, Cyclohexasiloxane, Propylene Glycol, Hydroxymethylcellulose, Glycerin, Methylparaben.

Spunk Pink:
This is probably my favorite from the line. It’s pretty and pink, and more similar to Aloe Vera gel than the original Spunk Hybrid lube. It was the slowest to run down the piece of paper when I tested them out by squirting a bit on paper then tilting it for 20 seconds. It has a very faint mint scent to it, and tastes kind of like flouride gel from a dentist office (but not as strong or gross). The pink dries clear without leaving behind a pink dye.

I also played with this one for awhile by taking a bit in my hand and spreading it out, and letting it dry. No oily or sticky residue, and the smell and taste are completely gone after it dries.

Ingredients: Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclohexasiloxane, Dimethicone, Dimethiconol, Propylene Glycol, Hydroxymethylcellulose, Methylparaben, Red 40.

Overall Rating: 4.5/5
The only change I’d like to see is no parabens for the hybrid lubes. Other than that, I’m impressed. My Sliquid has been retired for the time being.

Thanks, SPUNK Lube! Check them out Twitter and say hey to Jeff. They’re very helpful and friendly.

Review: Purr by Tantus

Seriously, one of the most underrated dildos I’ve ever tried. I don’t understand why more people aren’t raving about this glorious hunk of silicone. I originally bought this as my very first Tantus dildo, mostly to be used solo, but possibly with a future partner if I ever suckered anyone into settling down with me. Now that I’ve gained more experience with it, I prefer it for solo play unless my partner is in the mood for very slow sex.

Let’s just get to the boring technicalities of this toy. It’s silicone, which means it’s non-porous, phthalates free, latex free, it’s sanitizable, and it’s body safe. You can sanitize it by boiling it, putting it in the dishwasher (without dish washing detergent and only on the top rack), or you can wash it down with a 10% bleach and water solution. If you aren’t sharing it between partners or in different orifices, you can just wash it down with an antibacterial soap and water and call it a day. It’s important to properly sanitize toys between anal and vaginal use so bacteria isn’t spread. The same safety precautions should be made when using it between partners.     Storage can be kinda tricky. It’s made of a firm, tacky silicone that is an absolute lint magnet. I keep it in the original packaging without the sleeve. I’ve heard of others using plastic ziplock bags. By keeping it stored away properly, I don’t generally have to wash it down before use. I do look it over very closely to make sure it hasn’t picked up a ton of hair and lint in between uses.

The Purr measures at 7″ long, with 6 1/2″ insertable length, and 4 3/4″ in circumference. There’s a very slight curve to the shaft which makes the ribbing really hit my G-spot. The flared base makes it anal safe, and great for harness play. It stands erect in a harness and doesn’t flop around much. The rounded head isn’t much larger than the rest of the shaft, but the shaft does get smaller just a bit as you work your way past the head. There’s a very slight popping sensation as you insert it past the head. It definitely makes me feel full.
I love this dildo for solo play. More than my Echo, more than any glass dildo I have, and more than G-spot vibrators. For solo, I like using slow thrusts to really feel all of the ribs. It’s like the ribs demand that I have an orgasm and it just pulls it right out of me. Strapped to my partner, it isn’t the best. The sensations that the ribs provide are deadened by fast thrusting, and the stiff silicone makes accidental cervix bumping a major pain. I prefer my Echo for strap-on sex.
One benefit to Tantus dildos is that some come with a vibrating bullet that you can swap out for a different brand. I don’t have much luck with these Tantus bullets. I’ve heard that they’re supposed to be multi-speed, but mine have only been single-speed. I do love that they are just about the same size as my We Vibe Salsa. The Salsa fits perfectly into the Purr. Just add a little lube and it’ll be easy to remove it once you’re finished. The vibrations travel nicely up and down the shaft of the Purr, and really make those ribs feel 10x better.Overall Rating: 5/5

While it doesn’t work great for me during strap-on sex due to my shallow cervix, it’s still a fabulous hunk of silicone and I adore it for solo sessions.

Review: Fetish Fantasy Elite Universal Beginner’s Harness by Pipedream

That name certainly is a mouthful. Say that 5x fast. Just don’t blame me when you bite your tongue off. The Fetish Fantasy Elite Universal Beginners’ Harness by Pipedream is an inexpensive double strap harness with a stretchy o-ring that will fit a range of different dildo sizes. But it certainly won’t fit a range of different waist sizes like it advertises.

This was our first strap-on harness. I was on the market for a double strap harness that either came with multiple o-rings or one very stretchy o-ring to fit a variety of dildos. I was drawn in by the price ($25-30 with most online retailers), and at first I thought I hit the jackpot, but now I kind of hate this strap-on.
The harness pad is made of vinyl and neoprene, with the front being a shiny vinyl, and the back a cushy neoprene. While the pad is nice and cushy against the pelvis of the wearer, neoprene is porous and hard to clean. The shiny vinyl is easy to clean by shining it up with a damp cloth, but it is also porous and cannot be fully cleaned. The care directions say you should spot clean it with a damp cloth and to avoid completely submerging the strap-on in water. This kind of turns me off of using it. The neoprene back comes into direct contact with the wearer’s genitalia and naturally soaks up a lot of bodily fluids. If I can’t clean it in a way that I feel is actually getting it clean, than I don’t want to even bother. We go against the care directions and usually wash it in the sink with antibacterial soap. I lay it flat to let it dry completely before storage.
The vinyl face hurts when it hits my clitoris or labia when my partner thrusts too deep. It’s a very tacky material, and it grabbed onto my clit and yanked the clit hood upward when we were in mid-thrust. No bueno. Before, I had no qualms with this strap-on because I didn’t have firsthand experience as the wearer, but the third time we used it my clit was assaulted by its face and now I’d rather just burn it in a fire. To hell with you! I’ll likely be throwing it in our bonfire and dancing around it naked once we get a Rodeoh harness. Ok, it’s not that serious. But the pain was seriously that bad.
This strap-on is advertised as being able to fit up to a 44″ waist. I don’t know how this is even possible. The top waist strap hardly fits around my partner’s waist and she’s a 36″. I don’t know how many times we struggled to get the nylon straps back into the slip buckle when she was putting the harness on. There was only maybe an inch of slack left once we had it secured around her waist.
The straps are also very uncomfortable for the wearer. She said she experienced a lot of chaffing during thrusts, and when we were struggling to get it back on her, the edges of the straps were a bit harsh against the sensitive skin on her thighs and waist. The buckles and straps do stay in place once we finally got them on correctly, but it’s such a hassle that I’m contemplating buying a leather harness and skipping nylon/buckle type harnesses…and I’m a vegetarian who would normally completely avoid leather.

     Overall Rating: 2/5

I should’ve researched the materials prior to purchasing this one. It’s a major turn-off that I can’t wash it thoroughly. I don’t know which “waist” they’re advertising it as fitting. Perhaps it’s the low-rising waist of jeans that could actually qualify as hip size, but it definitely won’t fit up to a 44″ natural waist or high waist size.

Update: I officially broke the harness. It seems that the O ring has completely stretched out and won’t accommodate our Tantus Echo anymore. If I’m clenching my PC muscles enough while she pulls out, the Echo comes sliding right out of the O ring. This happened three times already! Such a bummer.

If you wanna try your luck with the Fetish Fantasy Beginner Harness, it’s available on for $29.99. Be sure to pick up some extra O rings in case yours stretch out like mine did. This three pack will let you use different sized dildos as well.

Revew: Mia 2 by Lelo

The Mia 2 by Lelo is a USB rechargeable clitoral vibrator that comes in rose, pink, and black. I chose the rose when I purchased mine. I’ve had a few months to get to know the Mia 2, and I’ve finally come to a better understanding of how I feel about this vibrator.
A little about the Mia 2; it’s plastic, hypo-allergenic, latex free, phthalates free, and it’s body safe. Soap and water work best for me, but you can also use toys wipes or toy cleaner to clean it. It’s not safe for anal insertion since there’s no flared base to prevent it from becoming lost!
The Mia 2 is supposedly 100% stronger than the original Mia from Lelo, but I haven’t tried the original so I can’t comment on that. It is, however, completely waterproof. I know some people had issues with the cap that protects the USB plug popping off with the original version, so they felt that it wasn’t safe to bring near water. The new cap has a twist-locking mechanism that prevents it from popping off randomly. I haven’t had any issues in that regard.Functions: You press the + button to turn it on. Holding the + down for a few seconds brings it to its strongest vibration setting. Once you get to the highest setting, you can hit the + button again to enter the vibration patterns, which are random escalations, waves, pulses, and the last setting is a completely random pattern. You can’t change the intensities of the patterns with this vibe like you can with the Mona 2.

One thing I learned is it has a quick shutoff option. If you hit both the + and – button at the same time, the toy quickly shuts off without a pause. It’s not intuitive so it won’t remember which setting you left off on when you turn it on again. It’s very easy to hit the + and – buttons simultaneously. I can easily do it with just my thumb during use.

There’s also a travel lock option when you press and hold + and -. The light on the front of the control panel with turn on as you press the buttons, and it’ll turn off once the travel lock is activated. When it’s locked the light will not turn on if you press either of the buttons. To unlock it you simply hold the + and – buttons again for a few seconds.

Strength: In terms of vibrations, it’s not that great. There’s a range of vibration strengths ranging from a 1 vroom to a low 3 out of 5 vrooms. The light weight of the Mia 2 makes the vibrations somewhat weak. If it were a heavier vibrator, they would feel more intense. I think it could be a good fit for those who don’t require a lot of oomph from clit vibes, but it’s somewhat boring for me.

As always, the Mia 2 comes in Lelo’s beautiful packaging, complete with a gorgeous black keepsake box that would work great for longterm storage, and a black satin pouch that holds the vibrator nicely. It also comes with a sample pack of Lelo’s water based lube, and a product authentication card that’s useful if you have to use their 1 year warranty. If anything goes wrong with the toy, just contact Lelo and they’ll be sure to help you.

What I love about the Mia 2: it’s great for partner play. My partner is a little intimidated with my Salsa. She can’t get a good grip on the Salsa when she wants to use a vibe on me. With the Mia 2, there’s a neat triangular point on the cap which fits nicely between the forefinger and thumb. Neither of us have experienced any hand numbness with the Mia 2 either.     It’s also quick to charge. You can fit the USB plug into any USB charging port or computer, and it takes only an hour and a half to fully charge mine. It’s also quick to die too. When I use it, I need it on the highest setting to get any pleasure from it. Two reasonably long sessions and it’s dead.

It’s an overrated vibrator. Not any stronger than those old fashioned wand vibrators that require 1 AA battery. It’s definitely not worth the price. The only awesome factor to this vibe is the USB charger. I like being able to plug it into USB charging adapters and having it pass as a gig stick. No one suspects what it is. I love the other Lelo products I’ve tried, but this one was a bust for me.
